We are delighted to be able to help Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and proud of our partnership with them. We support them through our presence at their own events - such as the Peter Pan anniversary celebrations in London’s Kensington Gardens – and by encouraging schools and other organisations to raise money by holding Portrait Days of their own.

Portrait Days for GOSHCC
You can help raise £££’s for GOSHCC by asking us to run a Portrait Day. It’s easy to do and requires only minimum effort from you.

We run a day of relaxed, informal, contemporary portrait photography for families and children that gives parents something they really value at prices well below those normally available on the high street - and at the same time you're raising money for GOSHCC.

How they work ?
Parents are invited to book sittings one Saturday or Sunday via a letter which Prêt-a-Portrait provides and which is distributed via the school.

Sittings are booked directly with Pr
êt-a-Portrait to keep administrative burden on the school to a minimum.

On the day Prêt-a-Portrait sets up a fully equipped studio in the school hall or other similar space and runs a series of 30minute sittings.

Parents pay a fee of £30.00. For this they get their sitting, one free picture and their own password protected online album for viewing and selecting pictures via our website at their leisure.

In addition to their 'free' picture, parents can then order anything they may want from a range of high quality products (e.g. prints, frames, bags, books, canvases etc) online, by post, by email or by telephone and 10% of the net order value goes to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

What do I/we need to do now?
Simply...
1. Call Prêt-a-Portrait
Call 0845 456 3494 to arrange a date and agree where the studio will be set up

2. Promote the event

Distribute letters/leaflets (which we provide) to parents via the children approx 4 weeks beforehand, display some posters (also provided) and do anything else you can to ensure the day is a success (e.g. mention in newsletters, web site, email to parents and encourage staff & PA to get behind it etc.

3. Arrange access on the day

FAQ's
How many sittings can be held in one day?
A single studio can accommodate up to 20 sittings. When demand exceeds this we set up a second studio which allows us to handle up to 40 sittings.

Is there a minimum of sittings?
We try to stick a minimum of 12 sittings in one day and there is rarely a problem in filling this many spaces. If every member of the PA/staff/team 'sells' one or two sittings you'll be well on the way to a successful day.

How long do pictures stay online?
We keep albums on display for an initial period of 6 weeks. If customers want to extend this they can simply call us. If they want to place further orders later in the year (e.g. for Birthday or Christmas presents) we can usually put their album back on display within 24 hours.

How do customers place their order?
Orders can be placed online, by telephone, by email, or by post.

How much can we expect to raise and how do we find out how much we have raised?
The average amount can vary widely but an average 20 sitting day would normally raise approx. £300. Pret-a-Portrait will advise you of the amount raised 8-10 weeks after the event.
